Back in August, Ubisoft announced Revenue Share Program for Rainbow Six Pro League to make the professional scene more stable and help it grow organically. In the scope of the program, Ubisoft is selling branded in-game items and sharing part of the revenues with the clubs. Phase 1 of the pilot sharing program included 11 teams, this number will grow with the start of phase 2.

Phase 2 of Rainbow Six Siege‘s revenue-sharing pilot program will be taking place between Seasons X and XI that run between June 2019 and May 2020. Up to 16 teams may participate in phase 2. Not every team that took part in Phase 1 is guaranteed a spot at in Phase 2. Ubisoft is reaching out to various esports organizations even if they don’t have an R6S squad at the moment.

Revenue-Sharing Pilot Program will also include the Road to the Six Invitational that will allow to increase the prize pool. During the previous Six Invitational that took place last February, the prize pool rose from $1 million to $2 million through the sales of skins and other in-game items.
