Twitch plans to ease the streaming process on its platform by introducing its own broadcasting application called Twitch Studios. Going up against the likes of OBS Studio and XSplitTwitch Studios is designed to “simplify things for streamers who are just getting started.”

The beta is currently open for all to apply but with limited openings, not everyone will be accepted right now. It will also have limited features available for testing, but should have all the basics covered for now. The official announcement states that users will be able to use a guided optimization process, have access to a number of customization templates and a built-in activity feed.

One of the biggest pains of starting a stream is setting up, especially if you're clueless about the technical side of things. What Twitch Studios proposes is the ability to skip all the possible frustration regarding setup and quickly jumping into your own stream.

No specific timeframe has been shared, so the beta could be around for a while and even possibly lead directly into the full launch. More beta spots are expected to open up over time, so it would appear acceptance might also be on a first-come first-served basis, so the sooner you sign up, the sooner you could be trying the app out for yourself.
