Team SoloMid will release Daniel 'vice' Kim from their starting five at the end of the player's trial period, the organisation has revealed.

TSM's announcement of a new lineup centered on North American players after having previously fielded a Danish squad (now Astralis) considered one of CS:GO's most dominant lineups marked a radical departure for the organisation.

Since that time, TSM have struggled to make significant results within their own region, as most of the team's maps in 2016 have resulted in losses.

Following this spate of subpar results, the North American organisation have today announced that they will part ways with Daniel "vice" Kim, one of the two additions from

Denial that the team effected in order to complete their current roster.

The player will be released from his contract at the end of his trial period, although when that is to occur is unspecified.

Kim provided a few words on his release:

"Thanks to all the guys over at TSM for giving me a shot; I wish them nothing but success. I've learned a lot through this experience and I am more motivated to compete now more than ever. Keep an eye out for me because this isn't the last you'll be seeing of me."

The organisation have also mentioned that they are currently in the process of holding tryouts for a new fifth player.

TSM's current lineup will therefore become:

  • Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen
  • Timothy "autimatic" Ta
  • Pujan "FNS" Mehta
  • Hunter "SicK" Mims
  • Soham "valens" Chowdhury (coach)

TSM are currently not competing in ESEA but the North American team are taking part in CEVO Gfinity Season 9 and also possess a slot in the upcoming $1.2 million ELEAGUE season.
