Transfer Thursday — August 27

Transfer Thursday is a brand new regular section where you can learn about significant transfers, resignings, and line-up changes that have happened in the worlds of CS:GO, Dota 2 and other disciplines over the past week.

CS:GO

North strong

North esports organization has finally filled the void left in the main squad following the departure of Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye. The new member of the roster is the Swede Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson, who previously played with Ninjas in Pajamas. The veteran player has spent the past few months on NiP's bench, with Hampus "hampus" Poser, who came from GamerLegion, playing in his place. As part of the new team, Lekr0 will return to his usual position of chief rifler.

The Swede made his North debut in a victorious match against forZe at the Nine to Five 3 tournament on Tuesday.

Winstrike completed

Winstrike has officially introduced the fifth player and the new captain of their CS:GO team - Alexey "NickelBack" Trofimov. The former pro100 member played for his new team as a stand-in at the Eden Arena Malta Vibes Cup, Nine to Five 2, and FunSpark ULTI 2020 Europe Qualifier, and now is signed as ful-time.

Team coach Dmitry "hooch" Bogdanov commented on the signing:

"I am very glad that we managed to sign Alexey. We have known him for a long time and played together for quite a long time. Over the past few years, he has done a good job and has grown as a player and as a person. Therefore, I have no doubt that he will perfectly suit our team and lead the team to victories. At the moment, we practice 6 days a week and do our best to catch the chance to get to the Major. Even if we lost a significant number of points when the player left, if there is a chance, it is worth clinging to. We will also participate in other tournaments and do our best to please our fans."

c0ntact roster update

This information was later confirmed by smooya himself on his personal Twitter account.
