It’s common knowledge that the events of Apex Legends take place in the Titanfall universe. However, there’re no Titans, which means that the game lacks the signature feature of the setting. And it looks like that this situation won’t be resolved any time soon according to Respawn.

The developers have already warned the community that the concept of Titans simply doesn’t fit Apex Legends, but GameInformer has recently reached out for a clear clarification whether it is possible at some point in the future. Executive producer Drew McCoy responded in a pretty much the same way as before; he said that the idea of bringing Titans to the game was being prototyped – but it didn’t work given the gameplay limitations of the Battle Royale title. Unfortunately, Titans are too powerful for Apex Legends – and if you take the approach to balance them in accordance with other elements of the game, the very idea of piloting an undefeatable piece of machinery falls apart because of that. Drew McCoy has listed several issues that prevent the concept of Titans from being implemented in Apex Legends – and he added that this idea is no longer considered by the development team.

So, there you have it. Titans will most likely never make it to the Battle Royale game because they simply do not fit the equation. If you are looking for action with huge robots – there’s TItanfall 2 multiplayer. You can even make use of the Pilots’ wall run ability, you know.
