A 99-year-old sportswear firm partners with gamers
Team Dignitas is one of the oldest teams in professional eSports and it’s rosters were active across multiple games since 2003. The team recently signed a major deal with Champion, a 99-year-old sportswear company.
The partnership seems very natural as both companies are veterans in their respective fields.
Champion will provide Dignitas with new jerseys, casual wear and athletic wear. It will soon open sales for the team’s official lines of clothes, including women’s.
According to the Dignitas CEO Michael Prindiville, the team is anticipating a major rebrand and a full new line of clothing. Within months it’s jerseys will start featuring Champion logo.
