Many modern games have a bloated playthrough time where you need to spend several tens of hours to beat the story mode. That isn’t the case for the anticipated hack’n’slash adventure game Devil May Cry 5 from Capcom.
According to Devil May Cry 5 director Hideaki Itsuno, the story mode will take about 15 hours from start to finish for an average player. This number is based on the internal testing in Capcom. There will be additional game modes besides the main campaign that will prolong the playing experience.
Other games of the series took up to 11 hours to play through, which means that the modern game will be the longest of the series.
Devil May Cry 5 is scheduled to launch on March 8th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. This is going to be the first independent title of the series in a decade as Devil May Cry 4 was released back in 2008.
In one of his previous interviews Hideaki Itsuno mentioned how proud and excited he was to work on Devil May Cry 5. He is planning to oversee the development of the first big update of the game and move to a new big project after that.
