These Ads Boost Game of War Revenue to $1 Million Daily

If you’ve ever watched TV or online videos, chances are you’ve seen one of Game of War: Fire Age’s many advertisements featuring American model Kate Upton. As the game now generates revenue of about $1 million daily, these ads have proven to be incredibly successful.

 

Developer Machine Zone confirms that the free-to-play game’s in-app purchases, ranging up to $100, have doubled since the ad, making use of a Game of Thrones type of atmosphere and Kate Upton in a low-cut outfits doing things like riding a horse or taking a bath, first showed up in November. This ad has since been aired 9000 times during different sport events and other places with a heavy male viewership.

 


However, all of this comes at a great cost. Ad-tracking firm ISpot.tv estimates the price to be a total of $80 million.
