In some breaking news, Paradox Interactive has purchased the rights to the entire library of White Wolf properties from EVE Online studio CCP, which includes the popular World of Darkness RPG.

In a press release, Paradox announced, "Now a subsidiary of Paradox Interactive, White Wolf Publishing is a licensing business that owns and manages intellectual properties including World of Darkness, Vampire: The Masquerade and Werewolf: The Apocalypse."

According to Paradox's VP of Acquisition Shams Jorjani:

"We've been huge fans of the white wolf IPs for a long time especially World of Darkness/Vampire. Gonna be great to give it some fresh blood."

This seems to indicate that there will be some Vampire: The Masquerade or Vampire: The Requiem games in the foreseeable future. Paradox will also be using the IP in all other media, not the least of which is publishing the studio's pen-and-paper roleplaying game library.
