The LoL Continental League management disqualified Vaevictis eSports support Diana "TR1GGERED" Ivanchenko for harassment and discrimination.
Russian LoL player spoke about Natalia "Ankote" Zaiko - a former partner on the team, in an extremely unflattering form on her stream a week ago. Insults and humiliations were in Ivanchenko speech of a girl whose level of play, according to TR1GGERED, was not high enough.
The published passage attracted increased attention, the organisation and the support hurried to apologise to Natalia, but this was not enough to avoid punishment. TR1GGERED was disqualified for two matches - this type of punishment is quite rare.
The following verdict was issued, regarding Diana, and published on the official website of the league:
- This is the first severe case of misconduct on the part of TR1GGERED.
- Both TR1GGERED and Vaevictis eSports apologised to the injured party
- TR1GGERED committed a misdemeanour before she officially entered the status of a professional player and started LCL matches; after signing a contract with Vaevictis eSports, she wasn’t noticed in violations of the Continental League rules.
"Such behaviour from professional players of the Continental League is unacceptable. Taking into account the above facts, Diana “TR1GGERED” Ivanchenko is disqualified for two matches of the Continental League. The decision takes effect on March 15, 2019. Vaevictis eSports organisation was warned about the punishment in advance."
It is worth noting that Vaevictis eSports, which include only girls, has recently appeared in local scandals. Recently Riot Games issued warnings to two Russian teams at LCL for misconduct in matches against Vaevictus eSports in the first days of the new season. Rox and Vega Squadron were caught violating the Summoner Code in games against Vaevictus.
