The debut standoff in the “losers” bracket was held between The Real Deal and Old But Gold. The latter were pretty straightforward with their picks with choosing Medusa and combining the support duo out of Shadow Shaman and Clockwerk. Ursa was the final pick for the team. The Real Deal took Terrorblade and Pangolier while Jakiro, Tiny, and Shadow Demon were brought in to establish control.
TRD’s draft proved to be effective by the 10th minute with the team destroying the towers within the first line of defence. Ursa with the help of Shadow Shaman countered that push with four kills. Unfortunately, that was not enough for the team to turn the tables in its favour. Although the macro performed by the team was almost flawless, Old But Gold couldn’t manage to reach the competitive state for Illidan and Medusa. It took The Real Deal 20 minutes to defeat Old But Gold and win the game.
While The Real Deal continues its victorious march over the lower bracket, Old But Gold will have yet another chance to score after two losses. Their rival will be Team Empire.
