There are a few days left to BlizzCon, and it would appear that Blizzard Entertainment is laying the foundation for its next Hearthstone expansion.
Every year since the game's release, Blizzard Team 5 has announced the theme for the game's final expansion of the year. Now, after weeks of silence, Blizzard has finally teased the new content in the video below.
Madame Lazul, the clairvoyant priest, speaks to the viewer as she reads our fate in her cards. It appears that the League of EVIL has now set its sights in Northrend. In a previous expansion, they stole the city of Dalaran, but the Explorer's League thwarted their plan to steal something else from Uldum.
The trailer shows Wrymrest Temple, where the five dragon aspects would gather for meetings. In front of the temple are the bones of Galakrond, the strongest dragon there ever was. According to Warcraft lore, he was defeated by the five. Hearthstone's celestial "Year of the Dragon" also ties in nicely with the dragon theme.
Madame Lazul has trouble reading her tarot cards and finally concludes that the viewer will have to decide the victor. How dragons and the League of Evil will feature in the upcoming expansion is anyone's guess, but the answer surely lies at BlizzCon.
Blizzard's annual convention will take place from November 1-2 at Anaheim Convention Center, California.
