Eccentric game designer Yoko Taro, who brought us the amazing panty shot simulator called NieR: Automata, is currently working on a thematically related new content for Final Fantasy 14. It is a NieR-themed series of raids called Yorha: The Dark Apocalypse.
There’re three team raids in total, all of which are going to be executed in a brand new kind of alliance raids. These ones will be introduced in the nearest expansion, called Shadowbringers, and will feature three teams of eight players working together. Yorha: The Dark Apocalypse will be made available after Shadowbringers launches and will directly continue the story of NieR: Automata. The expansion is set to release on July 2, so we can expect the new raids to come out close to northern summer. However, it is still unclear how exactly the crossover between two universes will work. But hey, it’s Yoko Taro after all, so don’t be confused.
Shadowbringers, being the third expansion for the game, will increase the existing level cap from 70 to 80 and introduce new story content along with brand new explorable locations and character classes. Nine more dungeons will also join the game, which is an indisputably significant addition. Three of them, obviously, belong to the Yorha: The Dark Apocalypse series.
