Today’s the big day – Mortal Kombat 11 has finally reached the release date, and while we are certain about the initial roster of fighters for the game, there’re obviously yet to be announced additional DLC characters. Due to the recent leak, we might actually know what to wait for.
The leak is based on datamined files from the Switch version of Mortal Kombat 11 using some specific hack tools. As the “hacker” LeoNatan reports himself, he’s found all the possible mentions regarding the existing characters – along with the ones potentially planned for the post-release flow of content. Surprisingly, it’s not that hard to unveil the information contained in the game files on your own thanks to the guide posted by LeoNatan, and many other users report that the list of DLC characters is indeed the part of Mortal Kombat 11. For now, at least. Let’s take a look at them:
- Shang Tsung
- Joker
- Nightwolf
- Terminator
- Sindel
- Spawn
- Ash
- Fujin
- Sheeva
Shang Tsung has been obviously unveiled in one of the official trailers, but the rest of the list is unconfirmed for the time being. It is worth noting that these characters might simply be a part of the initial plan, which is likely to change after the game releases today. Still, the list of fighters looks pretty decent and, what’s important, believable. Take Joker, for instance – NetherRealm wouldn’t be the studio we know if it hasn’t planned to add at least one of the Injustice characters as a guest fighter.
Terminator sounds rather cool, and Spawn has been rumoured to join the MK roster since the previous game. Sheeva has been somewhat confirmed in the recent launch trailer, and overall the leak seems credible enough. However, the initial release roster is pretty impressive as it is.
