Apex Legends has received a new update tonight, and the players rushed into the game to see what has changed – only to find out that their progress got completely wiped. The issue didn’t affect everyone though, and it looks like the problem is mostly impacting console players.
The players report that the update resets all of the earned progress, including account level, crafting materials, all the stats along with battle pass levels, unlocked characters, cosmetics, etc. Respawn operatively responded that the devs were aware of the issue. Right now, the studio is hard at work to find a working solution to the problem while the servers are being closed for maintenance. It is highly recommended that players don’t buy anything or craft any new cosmetic items. It’s been a couple of hours since, but we do believe that everything will be rolled back to normal by morning. Respawn must surely have backed the players’ data up before releasing the update, so it’s just a matter of time until you get your progress back.
The update in question introduced a lot of bug fixes and quality of life improvements. For instance, you’ll be able to invite the last players you’ve played with to join your squad after the match. This is a great way to find new mates. You can also mute annoying players during the intro and the character selection stage. The patch notes can be found in a dedicated thread on Reddit.
