American qualifying tournament within The International 2014 has started. We already have some obvious favorites after the first gaming day. Well, North American Rejects showed their serious intention to get into the top bracket of play-off. They won all four matches, and they have such teams as Team Liquid and Revenge in the list of defeated opponents.

The first day was also quite successful for "Liquid": ending the day with statistics 4:1, Team Liquid shares intermediate second-third place with Top5. Sneaky Nyx Assassins closes the top 4. They lost 2 games, but also won another 4.

Current positions of teams are as follows:

Confrontation between SNA and NAR opens the second day. This match can be considered as a key game for both teams: if NAR wins this match, it will be almost a guarantee of getting into play-off stage for this team, and it will make the fight for a ticket to Seattle significantly more complicated for SNA.

Also we recommend you to pay your attention to the following matches: Top5 vs. NAR and Top5 vs. SNA, Revenge vs. Union. The first two matches will solve a lot on the top of table, while Union and Revenge are the dark horses in this race. Both teams have 2 defeats, but one of these teams still has good chances to join the top 4, which gives the right to continue fighting for a place in The International - a tournament which breaks all the records.

A few days ago the Compendium was launched (similar to that one which was a year ago). Valve announced that 25% of all transactions relating to Compendiums would be added to the prize pool. After half of the week community increased the prize pool from basic $ 1.6 million to $ 4.2 million! And the prize pool is getting bigger day by day, although it’s still 2 months left to the beginning of The International! Thus, we are the witnesses of a historical event, which has already started! We continue to follow the events of the main tournament of the year. Buy Compendiums, watch matches, stay with us!
