Bethesda has announced the first seasonal event for Fallout 76 called Fasnacht Parade. The event includes a parade which has been taking place in Helvetia since long before the nuclear bombing – the townspeople marched on the streets wearing masks and costumes celebrating their beloved town.
The robotic shopkeepers that inherited the city continued the tradition, and now they need the assistance of post-apocalyptic survivors from the vaults to help clear the way and defend them from the monsters. The players will assist with different prep duties, including “stepping on stage to play a cheery tune” and other essential activities.
The developers promised this would be a repeatable limited time event, meaning that Fasnacht Parade will probably take place again next year. It starts on March 19 and will go on for a week.
Besides the LTE, Fallout 76 is also getting patch 7 with the new Brewing and Distilling crafting system (drink away most of your problems), additional quests, and balance changes. The energy and heavy weapons will be buffed up to let the players spend less time repairing them and more time hunting the wild beasts of Appalachia.
