After losing the previous game to Ninjas in Pyjamas, Team Empire got a second chance to secure a victory – although in the lower bracket this time. The team from the CIS one again faced a European opponent playing against The Final Tribe.
Empire repeated themselves with picking Kunkka, Juggernaut, and Grimstroke while Puck and Earth Spirit were meant to bring in more control. The Final Tribe responded to that with Weaver and Monkey King reinforcing their draft with melee fighters Sven and Tusk.
Both teams were doing equally well in the early game, and the score was even by the 10th minute while all of the towers remained untouched. The midgame situation was pretty much the same with another draw in kills – 12:12. The Final Tribe was intriguingly taking over with a slight advantage in gold. By the 30th minute, the equality in eliminations resulted in 16:16 score, which reached 19:19 after a series of battle exchange. This was in the favour of The Final Tribe though, and the team managed to push further locking the opponents within their base and getting far ahead with gold. The effective placement of wards helped The Final Tribe to counter the enemies’ outings, and each time it cost Team Empire a lane. TFT reached mega creeps by the 44th minute, and while Empire were bravely defending what was left of their base the outcome was already foreclosed. Even Divine Rapier did nothing good for Kunkka.
The Final Tribe advanced further in the lower bracket to meet Old But Gold. Regarding Empire, the fate of the team will be decided in the game with The Real Deal.
