Last weekend the "weekly marathon of The Esports Awards", as the organizers of one of the main esports awards of the year called it, ended. Hundreds of nominees, newcomers and veterans of the scene, players, coaches, journalists, CEOs — even the best hardware suppliers and the best podcast were identified. Let's take a look at the participants and winners, as well as tell about the most interesting ones.
Let's start with the hardware and the periphery. Here we have two nominations: Esports Hardware Provider and Esports Commercial Partner of the Year.

Elgato supplies streaming equipment of all kinds, from lights to microphones. Razer, AMD, Logitech, Intel, Nvidia, HyperX, Corsair, Asus ROG, Alienware, Scuf Gaming, Respawn were also nominated.

Logitech won a very tough fight. Other nominees: Intel, Red Bull, BMW, State Farm, Mastercard, Nike, Louis Vuitton, Mountain Dew Game Fuel.

Winner: Carlos "Ocelote" Rodriguez, former professional esports player, founder, and owner of G2. The nominees also included Alex "Goldenboy" Mendez, Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag, Eefje "Sjokz" Depoortere, Benjamin "DrLupo" Lupo, Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok, Hector "H3CZ" Rodriguez, Indiana "Froskurinn" Black, and Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo.

Esports Awards 2020: Esports Analyst of the Year. Winner: Chad "Spunj" Burchill. A former pro-CS:GO player, Spunj is now an analyst, commentator, and content creator.

Winner: Free Fire BR, a Battle Royale from Chinese developers. Competitors for the title include PUBG Mobile, Clash Royale, Clash of Clans, CoD Mobile, Arena of Valor, and Brawl Stars Mobile Legends.

Esports Awards 2020: PC Esports Rookie of the Year
Winner: Ryu "Keria" Min-seok, DRX's player in League of Legends. They had a great year and Keria was a big part of their success. Jay "Sinatraa" Won, Alec "Fultz" Fultz, Mingyi "Spica" Lu, Matthew "Wardell" Yu, Edward "Tactical" Ra tried to prevent him.

Esports Awards 2020: Game of the Year. Winner: League of Legends. Well, it is quite fair, isn't it? CS:GO, Fortnite, Dota 2, F1 2019, Rainbow Six: Siege, Rocket League, Valorant, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare tried to resist, but they never stood a chance.
Esports Awards 2020: Esports Coverage Website of the Year. Winner: Esports Observer. Nominees: ESPN, Dexerto, Liquipedia, HLTV, The Score Esports, Inven Global, Esports Insider.
Esports Awards 2020: Player of the Year (Console). Winner: Anthony "Shotzzy" Cuevas-Castro. Anthony, along with his team Dallas Empire, won the Call Of Duty World Championship, becoming the MVP of the season. Deservedly.

Esports Awards 2020: Esports Organization of the Year. Winner: G2 Esports. Competitors: NRG, Team Liquid, Envy, Cloud9, Spacestation, 100 Thieves, TSM. The Spanish organization was registered in 2014. Since then, they have signed rosters for CS:GO, League of Legends, Hearthstone, PUBG, Rocket League, Rainbow Six, and VALORANT.

Esports Awards 2020: Streamer of the Year. Winner: Ibai. Ibai "Ibai" Llanos used to be a Spanish League of Legends commentator for the LVP. He is currently creating content for G2 Esports.
Esports Awards 2020: Host of the Year. Winner: Sjokz. Efie Deportere is a Belgian TV presenter, and journalist, currently hosting the European League of Legends Championship.

Esports Awards 2020: Team of the Year. Winner: Team Secret. Everything is simple here: while G2 rose on all fronts, Team Secret in Dota 2 played very clearly throughout the year, winning a record 8 tournaments in a row with almost no losses. Other nominees: Top Esports (League of Legends), Shanghai Dragons (Overwatch), Team Vitality (CS: GO), DAMWON Gaming (League of Legends), Dallas Empire (Call of Duty), G2 Esports (League of Legends), Spacestation Gaming (Rainbow Six: Siege), San Francisco Shock (Overwatch), Spacestation Gaming (Rocket League).
In addition to the Esports Awards, The Game Awards 2020 will also be held, the broadcast date is scheduled for December 10. There will also be esports among the nominations, but the names that we saw in the preliminary list are... confusing. The Game Awards 2020 will be online and streamed from Los Angeles, London and Tokyo simultaneously.
