The Dota 2 Team Liquid team has broken another record

We’ve reported recently, that the current squad of Team Liquid has the third highest win rate on LANs among all professional Dota 2 teams. They have recently broken another record, and this time TL firmly locked on the first place.

Reddit user u/NIN222 made an interesting observation that the current Team Liquid squad has been together longer than any other professional Dota 2 team. One of the most interesting things I’ve learned from the post is that the difference in the # of days spent together by the longest running professional teams is very slim.

First things first, this roster of Team Liquid has been working together for 757 days (there is an argument that the count is longer since GH started playing with TL as a stand-in sooner):

• Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi
• Ivan "MinD_ContRoL" Ivanov
• Maroun "GH" Merhej
• Kuro "KuroKy" Salehi Takhasomi

Here is the breakdown of the teams between #2 and #5, pay attention to how slim the difference in the number of days is:

• 2d: 750 days — The Boston Major Ad Finem/Mousesports
• 3rd: 740 days — TI2 IG
• 4th: 720 days — TI7 Newbee
• 5th: 716 days — TI3 Fnatic

Team Liquid exceeded the #5 team for 61 days, and the breakdown between #2 and #3 is just ten days. These are small margins considering that the teams played together for almost two years.
