FLASHPOINT has confirmed the 12 teams that will be competing in FLASHPOINT 1 via an announcement on their Twitter page.

FLASHPOINT 1 is set to begin on Friday, March 13, 2020, and run until April 19, 2020. As of this moment, FLASHPOINT 1 is set to take place on LAN in Los Angeles, California. Among many cancellations and delays in the esports scene, it appears that FLASHPOINT is continuing to move forward with its LAN event.

FLASHPOINT is a new league that came onto the CS:GO scene in 2020. It ran as a direct competitor to the ESL Pro League and labeled itself as a league made for the players. This labeling also followed with the announcement of a very unique group draw process. The group draw process is one that uses a CSPPA-approved ranking system to seed teams from 1-12. Then, the top three seeded teams will be placed into groups A, B, and C. Captains of these three teams then get to select an unassigned team to place in their group. Then those selected teams get to pick the next team and so on.
