With the new year comes another installment of Tekken Pro Championship Japan vs. Korea 2020. As the name implies, Tekken 7 all-stars from Japan and Korea face off in this showdown. 

Due to the outbreak of Covid-19, the coronavirus, this year’s offering saw some changes to ensure the safety of participants. Normally a 12v12 affair, the 2020 edition dropped to 10v10 after two of Korea’s players chose to skip the event over health concerns. Their roster was still stacked though, with players like Jae-Min "Knee" Bae, Sun-woong "LowHigh" Yoon, Soo-hoon "Ulsan" Lim, Seong-ho "Chanel" Kang, Sang-hyun "Jeondding" Jeon, Jae-hyun "CherryBerryMango" Kim, and Meo-IL in attendance. 

On the Japan side of things, 14 players were initially in the running. Even though the Last Chance Qualifier was canceled, there was still a form of qualifier to determine Japan’s final 10. Their team also had some great names, with the roster including Shoji "Double" Takakubo, Takumi "Noroma" Hamasaki, Takumi "chirichiri" Fujimura, Kohei "Karei" Moriyama, Yuta "Chikurin" Take, Kato "Yuu" Yuji, and Daichi "Nobi" Nakayama.

After some great matches, the one-day event ended with Team Japan taking the win.
