Steve Arhancet co-owner and CEO of Team Liquid recently gave an interview to CNBC where he mentioned that in 2018 TL’s YoY (year over year) growth reached 465%. He explained that sponsors find great value in partnering with international Esports organizations.

We’ve recently reported that Champion, a well-established clothing brand operating for almost a century, stroke a deal with Team Dignitas, an esports veteran.

How TeamLiquid achieved the impressive YoY Growth

Turns out, it’s very nice for a team when the players are successful. Deep runs in the tournaments bring additional cash and make sponsors happy, which also lifts the revenue.

When the Dota 2 squad of Team Liquid won The International 2017 and received $10.8 million, there was a report suggesting that one-seventh part of the winnings went to organizational balance (the rest was split equally between 5 players and the coach). We can safely assume, that the same kind of arrangement works for the League of Legends squad, which won NA LCS during this summer split and qualified for World LCS.

The success of Team Liquid teams across Esports spectrum, that includes also Fornite, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, StarCraft 2, PUBG and other games makes the team very attractive to partners. TL is officially in partnership with Alienware, HyperX, Twitch, and Monster Energy.
