Riot Games has announced its plan to change the present in-game matchmaking system of Teamfight Tactics. This will prevent players from facing the same opponent multiple times in a row.

Prior to this change, matchmaking in the game has been random, which led to many players facing the same person again and again. There are also those that luckily get paired against weaker ghost armies continuously, giving them an unfair advantage on the ladder.

Patch 9.16 will make it a lot harder for these situations and other similar ones from occurring in a row. The patch will be released next week and will also bring the new Hextech Origin to the live server.

Meanwhile, patch 9.15b is scheduled to come out tomorrow, bringing with it several changes to champions and items that are intended to shake-up the meta.
