Teamfight Tactics patch 9.19 brings with it a dozen new items, a new champion in the form of Kai'Sa and a series of nerfs and buffs to existing champions.

New champion

Kai'Sa is a Void Origin, 5 cost Ranger/Assassin with starting mana 50/125, 55 attack damage and 1.25 attack speed. The ability Killer Instinct causes Kai’Sa to dash to the furthest enemy unit, while gaining a 300/600/900 shield and 30%/60%/90% attack speed for 3 seconds.

New Items

Sparring Gloves

This provides a +10% critical strike chance and dodge chance. It also converts its core stats to either the offensive or defensive option (by 20%) when used to create an item. Thief’s Gloves and Mittens are however granted both.

Infinity Edge

Sparring Gloves + B.F. Sword

This has a 20% critical strike chance and +150% critical strike damage.

Repeating Crossbow

Sparring Gloves + Recurve Bow

Upon death, this jumps to an allied champion, granting an additional 20% attack speed and critical strike chance.

Jeweled Gauntlet

Sparring Gloves + Needlessly Large Rod

Equipped unit's spells gain crit.

Hand of Justice

Sparring Gloves + Tear of the Goddess

Upon round start, gain either 40 life on hit or 40% more damage.

Iceborn Gauntlet

Sparring Gloves + Chain Vest

When dodging, an expandable zone is created which lowers attack speed by 35%.

Quicksilver

Sparring Gloves + Negatron Cloak

Cleanse CC when CC'd. Includes a 5 second cooldown.

Trap Claw

Sparring Gloves + Giant’s Belt

Once combat begins, gain a spell shield which stuns the champion that manages to break it.

Thief’s Gloves

Sparring Gloves + Sparring Gloves

Taking possession of all three item slots, copy two random items at the start of the round.

Mittens

Sparring Gloves + Spatula

The equipped champion is also counted as a Yordle.

Deathblade

B.F. Sword + B.F. Sword

Upon gaining a kill or assist, receive an additional 15 attack damage until the end of combat. The effect stacks infinitely.

Giant Slayer

B.F. Sword + Recurve Bow

All attacks deal an extra 5% to enemy max health as true damage.

Systems

Player damage adjustments

A slight acceleration in game speed appeared as a result of loot changes, so player damage has been reduced slightly to make games last longer.

  • 1 Star, Tier 2 drops from 2 to 1

  • 2 Star, Tier 2 drops from 3 to2

  • 3 Star, Tier 1 drops from 4 to 3

  • 3 Star, Tier 2 drops from 5 to 4

  • 3 Star, Tier 3 drops from 6 to 5

Mystery box system adjustments

The new system receives a few adjustments such as the reduction of average gold from Common and Uncommon boxes, slightly increasing the odds of Neeko's Help dropping from all boxes and Tier 4 units no longer being able to drop Uncommon boxes.

Traits

  • Dragon receives a nerf to Dragon and Dragon’s Claw strength.

  • Glacial receives a consistency change to reduce its power upon proc.

  • One of two Void champions deal true damage while in the case of four, all deal true damage.

  • Yordle loses a bit of power in the form of a dodge chance change.

Other trait adjustments include changes to three Assassins crit damage percentage, a slight buff to Ninja attack damage and ability power, with an extra 5 heal on hit to Noble. Shapeshifter also loses a little maximum bonus health and Ranger drops from 30%/70% to 25%/70%.

Champions

With regard to champions, Anivia receives buffs that help slow attack speed of the backline. Kassadin now becomes a Frontline sorcerer with a nerf to damage and Miss Fortune is buffed to become a powerful auto attacker.

Tier 1 champions Mordekaiser and Tristana both receive buffs. Blitzcrank and Braum also receive buffs in Tier 2, while Rek’Sai receives a slight nerf to attack speed. Tier 3 champions Ashe, Katarina, Veigar, Vi and Volibear all gain buffs, leaving Shyvana with a nerf to burn damage.

Tier 4 champions Akali, Jinx and Kindred receive small buffs while Gnar and Sejuani receive two nerfs each. Finally, Tier 5 changes nerf Swain but buff Yasuo's health by 50.

Items

Zephyr is now a unique item, Rapidfire Cannon no longer grants “Your attacks can’t be dodged” and Frozen Heart is buffed to 35% attack speed slow. Infinity Edge drops to +150% critical damage and Titanic Hydra will now do 3% max health damage to the target and adjacent enemies behind them.

Bugfixes

This week there are only a handful of Bugfixes which range from Matchmaking being less streaky to Ranger's Focus no longer stacking and now properly granting 100% extra attack speed. Akali and Gangplank will now have proper movement speed, Shyvana's ability tooltip no longer says she prevents healing and Lucian's ability attack range will always equal his attack range.
