Teamfight Tactic Galaxies Championship to take place in September

Introduction

Teamfight Tactics is widely regarded as one of the best auto-battlers in the world. However, we haven't seen any big event that would bring together some of the best teams in the world. Luckily, this all changes now because we've just learned that there will be a gigantic global event that will gather the best players in the world.

The event

The Teamfight Tactic Galaxies World Championship will begin on the 3rd of September, and it will feature sixteen of the best players in the world. They will have to battle against each other in the span of a few days until one grabs the trophy.

Even though we saw a few regional events where some of the best players could show off their skills, this will be the first big tournament that will definitely have a huge impact on the professional scene. This event will feature all of the sixteen players who've proved themselves in the regional tournaments that took place throughout the year. Unfortunately, COVID-19 will ruin yet another tournament because it will be held online. Although the organizers really wanted to host an amazing LAN event, the virus made it impossible.

The sixteen players will be divided into two lobbies that will have eight players each. We will see a total of five games per lobby, so once they are over, the top four players from both of the lobbies will advance to a playoff bracket. There, players will have to battle for 18 points, so whoever reaches this first will need just one win in order to claim the trophy, as well as the lion's share of the $200,000 prize.
