Team Unique will replace Cyber TRAKTOR in WePlay! Pushka League ⚡⚡⚡ Esports news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!

On April 29, the tournament organizer WePlay! Esports had to suspend the participation of the Cyber TRAKTOR team in WePlay! Pushka League on suspicion of holding a match-fixing at night on Sunday, April 26.

Indeed, the drafts and in-game actions of Cyber TRAKTOR players looked controversial, but this was not enough to make administrative decisions.

Our esports department and the analysts of WePlay! Pushka League carefully examined the matches and came to the conclusion that Cyber TRAKTOR players, with a high degree of probability, made bets on some intermediate results of their matches.

Cyber TRAKTOR made their own inquiry and found out that Artur “Retsu” Kotsoyev engaged in foul play. We will not disclose the bet amount and betting service. Although the organization made it clear to us that it condemns such actions, and offered to replace Retsu, the current roster is is suspended from the League Season 1.

Using the rights of the tournament organizer WePlay! Esports made the following decisions:

  1. For unsportsmanlike conduct and direct violation of the WePlay! Pushka League rules (paragraph 5.7) the Cyber TRAKTOR team is suspended from the participation in WePlay! Pushka League Season 1;

  2. Retsu is banned from participating in WePlay! Esports events for a year (effective until May 2, 2021)

  3. Team Unique will replace Cyber TRAKTOR in WePlay! Pushka League Division 2 in the CIS region;
  4. Team Unique will start their participation in league with the same result as Cyber TRAKTOR had.

It is very important to remember that WePlay! Esports is intolerant of fraud of any kind, including match-fixing. Fair play and respect for the opponent are at the basis of the WePlay! Esports code.

We understand that Cyber TRAKTOR is in complicated circumstances with its Dota 2 roster that is still on probation. It’s not easy to commit to such decisions, but we see no other choice if we want to prevent such incidents in the future.

Thank you for the trust and an opportunity to participate in the next season of the league. We couldn’t predict what has happened. In the future, we will be controlling our players during official matches and practice more closely.

The new WePlay! Pushka League gathered twenty-two teams. The championship takes place in two regions - the CIS and Europe and is divided into two Divisions - the first and second. In the first Division, each of the two regions is represented by seven participants. The prize pool is $250,000.

The MVP of the tournament will also be awarded cash prizes, the best representatives of the "core" and "support" roles will get a check for $5,000.

In the second Division, there are four teams in each region. Here the teams are fighting for an extra $5,000 and two invitations to the first Division of the next season of WePlay! Pushka League.
