Well, if you thought there was enough drama at The Shanghai Major, another awkward situation happened today. On the third map of match between Team Secret & OG (winner quarterfinal), w33ha typed GG in game chat too early when the match was already won. That's why Team Secret got a level 3 penalty from the tournament organizers – Valve & Perfect World. It's a draft penalty for Team Secret which means they won't have reserve draft time in the next match versus winner of the upper bracket semifinals - EG vs. Fnatic.
By typing GG in chat, Team Secret triggered the countdown timer and did not cancel it for some reason. Because of that the system recorded the win for OG (although the game and match really ended with Team Secret's victory) which affected the compendium and tournament bracket. Valve manually fixed the "mistake" later.
The player to blame, Aliwi "w33ha" Omar as well as Team Secret already made a public official apology in the twitter:
Apologises to OG, Valve & PW for calling GG early in the heat of the moment. We have been given a level 3 draft penalty for our next match.

The gg was not intentional, it was in the heat of the moment and i thought the G was a gg mistype, i apologize to everyone affected by this
