Team Profile: mouz NXT

mouz NXT is the CS:GO academy of mousesports, and one of the most exciting teams participating in WePlay Academy League.

mouz NXT has undeniably been one of the most exciting participants of WePlay Academy League, but very little is still known about the players. Given that the team is newly formed, WePlay Esports has compiled another team profile, allowing fans to get to know the players better. Read below to find out all there is to know about mouz NXT!

The players

Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás

  • Age: 19

  • Place of residence: Hungary

  • CS:GO Experience: 5 years

  • Rank: Level 10 on FACEIT, 4300 ELO

  • Role: AWPer

  • Main achievementsAttending V4 Future Sports Festival 2019 with GAMERZONE.gg.

  • Current goal: torzsi always strives to do his best and wants to be satisfied with his performance. He tries to play entertaining Counter-Strike for the fans. 

  • Favorite teams: Enjoys watching Natus Vincere and Gambit Esports play.

  • Main source of inspiration: torzsi has been looking up to Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo since he began playing CS:GO.

  • Advice for his younger self: torzsi was VAC banned for cheating five years ago, so his advice would be to always play fair, don’t give up or give in to the temptation.

Career

First important tournament: V4 Future Sports Festival 2019, his first LAN tournament where he managed to take a map off of MIBR.

How he joined the team: mouz NXT’s coach, Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen, approached torzsi as he was scouting players for the roster.

What he got from joining mouz NXT: He feels like sycrone gives the team all they need and that everyone at mousesports is at his disposal. 

First impression of the team: He feels like the team has a lot of firepower and that everyone is unbelievably kind. He already thinks of his teammates as good friends. 

Fun facts: torzsi isn’t too worried about whether or not he will be promoted to the main team, he just wants to focus on this team and playing as best as he can. 

Expectations of WAL: Improve and gain experience as a team.

Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek

  • Age: 18

  • Place of residence: Born in Poland but has been living in Northern Ireland for over 13 years. 

  • Rank: Level 10 on FACEIT, 4000 ELO

  • Role: IGL

  • Main achievements: Qualifying for ESEA Premier with Izako Boars.

  • Current goal: Win WePlay Academy League.

  • Favorite teams: He really likes Gambit Esports' playbook.

  • Main source of inspiration: siuhy really likes Finn "karrigan" Andersen’s calling style.

  • Advice for his younger self: Be more patient, opportunities will present themselves with time and effort.

Career

First important tournament: One Tap LAN 4, his first ever LAN, where he placed 2nd.

First acquaintance among pro players: The first professional player he played against was Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom. 

How he joined the team: He was told by his agency, Knacks, that mousesports were interested in signing him for an academy team. 

What he got from joining mouz NXT: siuhy feels like mousesports is super supportive as an organization. 

Fun facts: sycrone asked siuhy if he’d wanna try in-game leading and he accepted the challenge.

Expectations of WAL: Gain experience as an IGL and as a team and win WePlay Academy League

Hubert "szejn" Światły

  • Age: 19

  • Place of residence: Poland

  • CS:GO Experience: Started playing Counter-Strike when he was 12. 

  • Rank: Level 10 on FACEIT, 3800 ELO

  • Role: Rifler

  • Main achievements: Playing for mouz NXT.

  • Current goal: Win WePlay Academy League.

  • Favorite teams: Gambit Esports because he can learn a lot from watching them.

  • Main source of inspiration: Really likes Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken’s style of play.

  • Advice for his younger self: Never give up and believe in yourself. 

Career

First important tournament: Played his first LAN tournament when he was 14 and fell in love with Counter-Strike. 

First acquaintance among pro players: The first professional player who noticed szejn was Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski.

First impression of the team: He thinks his teammates are extremely talented and was excited to play with them.

Expectations of WAL: Get experience with the team and win WePlay Academy League.

Jon "JDC" de Castro

  • Age: 21

  • Place of residence: Germany

  • CS:GO Experience: First played Counter-Strike at the age of 6, started playing CS:GO in 2014.

  • Rank: Level 10 on FACEIT, 4200 ELO

  • Role: Rifler

  • Main achievements: Winning 99Damage Liga twice.

  • Current goal: Be the best version of himself. 

  • Favorite teams: JDC doesn’t really have a favorite team, he feels like he can always pick up small details from watching any game at any level. 

  • Main source of inspiration: JDC’s inspirational player is Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev, as he really admires his attitude and dedication to grinding. 

  • Advice for his younger self: Believe in yourself and keep the goal in front of you, fight through the hardships no matter what.

Career

First important tournament: ESL Clash of Nations 2017 in Spain was his first LAN event when he played for PANTHERS Gaming.

First acquaintance among pro players: The first pro players JDC played with were Johannes "threeman" Droste, Nils "niLssoN" Nolting, Patrik "zajp" Knutsen, and Cedrik "Cedii" Köhler on BLUEJAYS.

How he joined the team: Was contacted on Twitter at the start of the academy project as he was teamless and grinding FPL.

What he got from joining mouz NXT: He feels like being able to play professionally full-time, doing something that he loves, is a blessing.

First impression of the team: JDC thinks his teammates are great and he loves the atmosphere in the team. He thinks that everyone is kind and humble.

Fun facts: JDC takes every day one at a time, he just focuses on improving every single day. He doesn’t compare himself to other people, he only compares himself to the JDC of yesterday.

Expectations of WAL: Gain more experience as a team and improve. 

Dorian "xertioN" Berman

  • Age: 17

  • Place of residence: Israel

  • Rank: Level 10 on FACEIT, 4000 ELO

  • Role: Rifler

  • Current goal: See improvement in himself and the team and reach the top 30 in the near future. 

  • Favorite teams: He doesn’t have a favorite team per say, but he enjoys watching matches between teams with rivalries. 

  • Main source of inspiration: xertioN looks up to both Denis "electronic" Sharipov and Robin "ropz" Kool because he thinks that they’re both insanely smart individuals and great hard-working guys. 

  • Advice for his younger self: xertioN feels like he did well when he was younger and doesn’t have any advice for himself. 

Career

First important tournament: A local tournament in Israel in which he played with his brother and friends.

First acquaintance among pro players: He met Niels Christian "NaToSaphiX" Sillassen in a FACEIT PUG and instantly became friends. 

How he joined the team: He was approached by sycrone, had an interview, and was told that he’d be a good fit for the team. 

What he got from joining mouz NXT: xertioN is very happy to be able to play full-time and feels like mousesports will do anything to help him. He feels like the organization is like a well-oiled machine.

First impression of the team: He felt like his teammates were all kind, hardworking and passionate players.

Fun facts: He has learnt what it means to be a pro player, how much time is needed, how difficult the schedules can be, and that you learn so much in such a short period of time. 

Expectations of WAL: Gain experience as a team and live up to the roster’s potential.
