In the BO5 grand-final, Team Liquid got a quick lead by winning 2 maps with MATUMBAMAN destroying everything on Morphling in the first game. The second game was a show by Miracle's Tiny who got a very early Blink Dagger and never ran out of mana with the help of GH's Io. 9K MMR midlaner did everything he wanted that game leaving SyndereN and the squad no chance to comeback.
In the third game Escape Gaming started to swing the momentum back using the potential of qojqva's Lone Druid. By the 25 minute mark they demolished first enemy barracks. Despite that, Liquid managed to hold their defence and save the second line of barracks. After a few failed pushes by Escape, TL got the advantage and started to turn the tables.
By the 45 minute, Liquid switched from the defence mode to attack mode. Though Escape tried to hold them back, a few kills after Team Liquid started to break into Escape's base. Several minutes later we've got new champions of the DreamLeague Season 6 – Team Liquid.
Grand final highlights:
It's worth mentioning that both teams played on the LAN with substitutes. Team Liquid had GH playing instead BuLba but so far there's no official statement on his status in the roster. Escape Gaming also recently said goodbye to KheZu who switched to Team Secret so they had Trixi step in his shoes for now. But again there is no information about the substitute yet.
