With its victory over Cloud9, Team Liquid has become the first team to win four LCS championships in a row. It was a great series that ran into map five with a lot of back and forth and team battles.

Liquid had a strong start, gaining a lead in the bottom lane. Cloud9 made a few comebacks but following a three-pronged attack by Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen, Jung “Impact” Eon-yeong and Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng, Liquid took the first game.

Nullifying Doublelift until the mid game, Cloud9 won a team fight in the top lane which eventually led to them taking the second game. The third game saw a lot of good plays from both sides but Cloud9 finally took the game after a great jungle-mid combination. Game four had another couple of team fights after Liquid took a mid lane tower that later resulted in a win for them, evening the score.

In the final game, Liquid secured an early gold lead and continued its momentum through some dominating play by Doublelift. A final team fight began near the Baron which eventually led to Liquid's third and final win, making them the championship winners. Their victory makes Liquid the first seed at the 2019 World Championship while Cloud9 becomes the second due to championship points.

Counter Logic Gaming defeated Clutch Gaming in the 2019 LCS Summer Split 3rd place decider, earning them a spot in the second-to-last stage of the gauntlet qualifier. As a result, Clutch drops to the first phase where they will face FlyQuest on September 6. The winner of the gauntlet will become the final North America seed for the 2019 World Championship
