Over the weekend, Team Liquid faced Evil Geniuses for the third time during ESL Pro League Season 11 in the Grand Finals, proving their supremacy once more.

The first time they met was during Week 2 of the Regular Season, which ended in a 2-1 loss for Evil Geniuses. The second time was in the Upper Bracket Finals of the Playoffs, and that resulted in a 2-0 loss. The Grand Final made the third time, and to prove that they had downloaded all of Evil Geniuses' secrets, Team Liquid beat them 3-0.

As the Upper Bracket side, Team Liquid automatically had one win under their belt at the start of the match. Determined to make up the difference, Evil Geniuses fought hard on map 2, Dust II, but they fell short by four points.

On the final map, Vertigo, Evil Geniuses tried even harder, and their efforts earned them an early start. By halftime, things were looking somewhat even, but it was as if Team Liquid had baited their opponents into a false sense of security. A series of multikills secured Team Liquid's victory and the ESL Pro League Season 11's North American trophy.
