Team Liquid has announced the signing of Teamfight Tactics streamers, Mateusz "Alanzq" Jasiński and Christian "DarkHydra" Lüftner.
Ranked #1 and #2 on the EUW leaderboards, they've both held the top position a few times in the last couple of weeks, displaying their prowess in the game and a strong rivalry.
Alanzq began his esports career playing MOBAs like Heroes of the Storm and Dota but when his reflexes began to drop, he moved onto strategy games. "I was always a fan of Liquid. There was plenty of drama with other teams, with some mess-ups, but I’ve never seen drama involving Team Liquid, so that’s a big plus," he said regarding his decision to join the organisation.
As for DarkHydra, he began his competitive career playing StarCraft as a Terran player and joined a number of organisations during his career like SFTO Esports and Team Acer. DarkHydra placed 3rd-4th at the Go4 StarCraft 2 event and 3rd in the Germany Cup under the Team Acer banner.
"I played a lot of StarCraft, watched streams there [TeamLiquid.net], and I liked the organization as a whole from all the esports games, I’ve followed League of Legends and always liked Team Liquid. Mainly from StarCraft though, I always liked the Liquid players and the organization," said DarkHydra about his early interaction with Team Liquid.
They both join Brandon" Saintvicious" DiMarco on Team Liquid's Teamfight Tactics roster. A Game Day event was also held on the day of the announcement to celebrate the two new signings. Fans got to win prizes and play against Alanzq and DarkHydra.
