After a disappointing eighth place finish at the CEVO Season 8 LAN finals, Team Liquid have decided to pull out of the StarLadder StarSeries i-League.

In an announcement made through StarLadder's website, Team Liquid said that their decision was made after the CEVO Season 8 LAN finals and that they will continue to decline and drop leagues from here on in.

“Our team, everyone had been talking about, while we were participating at CEVO LAN, came to conclusion that we had been playing over, so we need to start declining and dropping some leagues," said Team Liquid. "I am sorry that this happened with such short notice but we consider it is better for us, as a team."

Grouped in with Games Academy, Enemy and Denial eSports, Team Liquid had played one best-of-three series against Enemy while participating in the StarSeries i-League and had secured a 2-0 victory. With Liquid no longer participating in the league however, the victory has been turned over into a forfeit loss.
