I would like to share some interesting events of the Asian Dota with you, namely, to talk about Team DK.

Good afternoon, dear users of WePlay! Today I would like to share some interesting events of the Asian Dota with you, namely, to talk about Team DK, which surprised the whole e-sports scene after a not very good for them ending of The International 3.

As we all know, Team DK took 5-6th place at The International 3, which showed their high level of preparation for such an upscale tournament, but still for DK 5-6th place is not a satisfactory result. From the team's history we know that the team took the top places in the whole Dota, and it pointed out their ability to challenge for the top places.

Well, let’s forget about TI3, even though it was an amazing tournament, but today I would like to discuss how Team DK manifested itself after the end of the tournament and continued its way to a new 2014 year. Many people consider that all changes and victories are the merits of the new line-up. As we know, burning – he is also a Chief Director of Team DK, invited Mushi after TI3, and since then the team almost never loses. That’s why today I propose to review after-TI3 tournaments, in which DK participated.

Nexon Invitational Super Match became the first tournament for DK, namely, its 3rd week, in which the team took the 2nd place. Matches themselves were held in special order: 12 teams were divided by the weeks, 3 teams per one week. DK played on the 3rd week with such teams as: fOu and Alliance. Giving the pas to Alliance, DK earned $7,500.

After 5 days DK participated in MLG Columbus 2013. A lot of teams, which occupied the best places all over the world, took part in this tournament, but it did not become a barrier for DK. They easily beat such teams as Na'Vi, Alliance, Fnatic, Liquid, Evil Geniuses and reached play-off from the first place, where they overplayed Na'Vi with the score 2:1 and met Speed Gaming in the grand final, where SG became the champion. Taking the 2nd place DK earned $27,378.

Fengyun Dota 2 Tournament became the next winning point for DK. This tournament was attended only by Asian teams, consisting of the top line-ups: Invictus Gaming, LGD Gaming, TongFu, Vici Gaming. DK felt very confident for this level and during the whole tournament, which was held by Single Elimination system, they competed, in my opinion, with the strongest opponents, to which DK showed their power throughout the tournament. During the tournament they lost only 1 game to LGD Gaming in semifinal, but they got to the grand final with the score 2:1, where they fought with TongFu and overplayed them with the score 2:0. DK became the favorites of this tournament and earned $9,880.

Beginning of 2014 brought big profits to the team from winning in the tournament 2013 WPC ACE Dota 2 League, which, despite its interesting name, ended on January 1. This tournament was held from September 22 to January 1, and it was attended by all the best-known teams of China and an international team LGD.int, players of which live in China. In this tournament DK proved that they are ready to show the best results and victories in the new year. The overall stage ended for the team with the 1st place, only 1 defeat, 4 draws and 13 victories. DK got to the semifinal BO5 at once, where they competed with Vici Gaming and embarrassingly beat them with the score 3:0. Then they achieved the grand final, which was surprisingly BO7 and all the games lasted up to 4 wins. In the grand final DK met Invictus Gaming and overplayed them with the score 4:3, having earned $163,400.

Then came a week to have a break, after which a small 4-day tournament began with a participation of 4 teams: DK, Invictus Gaming, Titan eSports, TongFu. Group ended for DK with the 1st place, 2 victories and 1 draw. Thus DK got into the final, where they competed with Invictus Gaming, which were overplayed by DK in the previous tournament with the score 3:0 in semifinal. I could assume that Invictus Gaming drew conclusions since the last tournament and prepared for the game. DK lost 2:0 and earned $3,200.

Of course, I could not miss the major event of Asian Dota, namely, G-League 2013, which took place from December 9, 2013 to January 19, 2014. The best Asian teams participated in this league, and it became an indicator of the new 2014 year. At this moment, taking into account the results of this league, we can make some conclusions for the future concerning potential leaders or outsiders. Well, brief information about the league: it consisted of 2 groups and a play-off. DK got in group A with such teams: Speed Gaming, Vici Gaming, Titan eSports. Despite the strong line-ups of the teams, DK easily got out of the group at the 1st place without losing any game. In play-off DK met TongFu and beat them with the score 2:0. Without hesitation DK goes to the final and overplayed Invictus Gaming there with the score 3:0, having earned $33,000.

Now more than ever, DK occupies the top places in the Asian Dota, which can be easily compared to the European one. My personal choice of Top-1 in Asia is DK, a strong team, persistent efforts, good line-up and only a victory!
