T-Pain cosplays as Leroy Smith

American rapper T-Pain aka. Faheem Rasheed Najm; recently shared a look at his awesome Leroy Smith cosplay.

The picture was taken by Seattle photographer David "DTJAAAAM" Ngo, who’s known for doing a lot of work with cosplayers and models across North America. The likeness is uncanny, with the only real thing missing is Leroy’s female pet bulldog, Sugar.

Leroy Smith is an American martial artist who joined the Tekken 7 roster on December 10, 2019, as part of DLC pack 2. He was announced during the EVO 2019 Finals and has quickly become a fan favorite. According to game lore, the humble, wise old man trained in Wing Chun to bring down crime and restore order after watching his family die and his hometown get destroyed.

Leroy uses a flurry of punches and heavy blows to devastate his foes, possessing the legendary one-inch punch as his Rage Art. He’s also able to summon Sugar to attack opponents depending on whether she in the mood to follow her master’s orders or not. His cane is also used in special attacks.

Leroy’s style is based on Wing Chun master Ip Man. He’s also the first original character to join the game via DLC and bears some resemblance to American rapper, Lupe Fiasco aka Wasalu  Muhammad Jaco.
