Swole Patrol has filled the last spot, left by FunPlus Phoenix, for the second phase of FLASHPOINT 1.
The recent controversy with Heroic, FunPlus Phoenix, and Astralis regarding the acquisition of Patrick "es3tag" Hansen left FLASHPOINT with a vacant slot for phase two of FLASHPOINT 1.
Swole Patrol is made up of the former eUnited squad that was released earlier this year. They will play under the FPX banner for the remainder of FLASHPOINT 1 instead of the original Heroic team.
Swole Patrol, or FPX for FLASHPOINT 1, is made up of:
- Edgar "MarKE" Maldonado
- Victor "food" Wong
- Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir
- Austin "Cooper-" Abadir
- Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro
- Armeen "a2z" Toussi (coach)
Swole Patrol is currently playing in ESL Pro League Season 11, their opener being against 100 Thieves.
Here is the group Swole Patrol, or FPX, will be competing in for FLASHPOINT:
- c0ntact
- Chaos EC
- FunPlus Phoenix
- MAD Lions
The journey to FLASHPOINT playoffs will be a tough one for Swole Patrol due to the spot they are filling coming in last place in phase one, meaning they will have much fewer points than teams who finished ahead of them. Phase two for FLASHPOINT 1 is set to kick off on Friday, March 27.
