The road to this was a long one, but Hearthstone finally had an in-game opportunity to support esports. The teaser of the package appeared a couple of months ago, and now you can buy it in the game for $19,99. Part of the sales revenue will go to increasing the prize pools of three Hearthstone Masters Tour 2019 tournaments, up to $250,000 each.

But beyond that, the package is very beneficial in itself. For its purchase, players receive 10 sets of Rise of the Shadows cards, 10 Rastakhan’s Rumble sets, Stolen Thunder Card Back and a new shaman-hero, the Thunder King.

20 sets of cards for $19,99 is around a buck per pack, which is much more profitable than any transactions in the in-game store.

In addition to the Masters package, Blizzard made changes to the game itself: it is now available in offline mode so you can customize your decks and add heroes to favourites. Also, improvements have touched the selection of opponents: reduced chance of meeting with the same player twice in a row.
