Panda Global has revealed the first 10 players in its Super Smash Bros. Ultimate PGRU Season 2 rankings for Fall 2019. Notable players that almost made it into the top 50 list were also mentioned.

The list has a few names from PGRU Spring 2019 drop out, while a couple of new names make their way in. The release covers only the bottom 10 players, but before we get into them let's check out those that almost made the list.

Area 51

For Fall 2019, Area 51 consists of three new players and two drops from last season.

Here is PGRU Season 2's Area 51:

  • Seima “Eim” Tomonoh

  • William “Leffen” Hjelte

  • Carrington “Wrath” Osborne

  • Yatiyaña “yeti” Schaper

  • Myran

Myran falls from rank 13 to 51, which is a steep fall, while yeti drops 17 places. New to Area 51 though are Eim, Leffen, and Wrath who all had great performances last year but couldn't make it into the top for Fall. Eim and the best Sonic, Wrath were strong at the tail end of 2019, but their late start prevented their entry into the rankings.

Leffen almost made the list while maintaining his top 5 ranking in Super Smash Bros. Melee. Divided between both games, one of them certainly had to give. However, the Team SoloMid player was displeased with the rankings, stating that European players weren't properly represented in it.

Rank 41-50

The first ten of PGRU Fall 2019 is mostly filled with newcomers, with only Mr. R and Alexi “Goblin” Stennett dropping eight and three places respectively. Goblin had a strong finish in 2019 but his start was so-so, while Mr. R only achieved a few good finishes at top events like 13th in EVO 2019

The newcomers include EVO 2019 17th finish, Eita “Hikaru” Hoshi, Kumite in Tennessee 2020 champion, Kola, and one of the best Terry Bogard players in the world, Riddles

Here are PGRU Season 2 ranks 41-50:

49.Dawson “Big D” Perron
48.Noriyuki “Kirihara” Kirihara
46.Kolawole “Kola” Aideyan
45.Randy “RFang” Fang
44.Mr. R
43.Spencer “BestNess” Garner
42.Alexi “Goblin” Stennett
41.Eita “Hikaru” Hoshi

The rest of the rankings will be released gradually during the week. You can watch Panda Global's ranking video below.
