With the official lineup revealed, players aspiring to compete at EVO 2020 have been registering for the event. Tournament organizer Joey "Mr. Wizard" Cellar has shared a list of all the games sorted by the number of entries received so far.
Mr. Wizard made the reveal on Twitter, and though he did not share any actual figures, his tweet does provide fans with a good idea of how many sign-ups each game has garnered. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is unsurprisingly in the lead, but instead of Street Fighter coming up second, we have Tekken 7 instead. At last year's event, Nintendo's brawler received a total of 3,492 participants, while Bandai Namco's fighter had almost 1,900.
Street Fighter V: Champion Edition comes in third, followed by this year's new title, Granblue Fantasy Versus. There's currently a lot of hype surrounding Arc System Works and Cygames' new 2.5D fighter, with the game's release less than a week and not officially available in the West yet. The game could still rise even higher if the community continues to enjoy what they've got.
In fifth place is Soulcalibur VI, which has guest character Haohmaru scheduled to arrive later in the year. Sixth is Dragon Ball FighterZ that just concluded its second competitive circuit yesterday and UNIST expansion, Under Night In-Birth [CL-R] in seventh place.
