Super Smash Bros. Ultimate patch 8.1.0 adds Battlefield stage

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate patch 8.1.0 adds Battlefield stage, Elite Smash, and deploys a number of fixes that target online play.
Yesterday Nintendo released Super Smash Bros. Ultimate patch 8.1.0, which adds the game’s third Battlefield stage. The update also improves netplay and adjusts the music for all Battlefield stages.
Here’s what the patch for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate version 8.1.0 has in store:

General
Several fixes have been implemented with this patch to improve the gameplay experience. These adjustments should also result in the Preferred Rules matchmaking setting working as intended, and enhanced online gameplay.
Stage
As the name implies, the “Small Battlefield” is a mini Battlefield stage that has only two suspended platforms instead of three (the top platform was removed). All three Battlefield stages, Final Destination, Big Battlefield, and Small Battlefield, can now also play any stage-specific song in the game.
Elite Smash
The unlockable mode will now allow more players to compete in its online matches. This development is thanks to Nintendo recalculating the number of eligible players after taking a look at the previous number.

More adjustments are planned for Online mode, following the result of additional investigations into it.
