Super Smash Bros. most talked about fighting game on Twitter in 2019 ⚡⚡⚡ Esports and gaming news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!
Twitter recently shared some 2019 statistics regarding gaming on its official blog. There were over 1.2 billion gaming-related tweets posted, which is almost 20% up from 2018.
In the "Most Talked about Video Games" category, Super Smash Bros. took the tenth position. It lists franchises and not individual titles, but it's still good to see what series of games the fighting game community talked about the most in 2019. I suspect a lot of those tweets will consist of speculation regarding the next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character.
Also on the list are Final Fantasy and Granblue Fantasy, but both franchises have their mainline games in a different genre, RPG. The former has Dissidia Final Fantasy NT out in the wild, while the latter, Granblue Fantasy Versus will release on February 6 in Japan and at a later date in the West.
