Subnautica: Below Zero has the big update

Subnautica: Below Zero and their funny “penguin-like” creatures entertain the players since January 23th. But the developers are working with might and main, and they are releasing updates for independent Subnautica addon. Today the game received its first significant update. Moreover, the developers have released a new trailer, which demonstrated the main changes in the game.

The most important innovation was the emergence of a Seatruck (which you can see on the preview) underwater vehicle, which consists of several modules that you can change at your discretion.

Each of the compartments reduces the speed of the Seatruck, but if you are in danger, you can always undock the module from the main craft and escape from the sea danger.

There are four types of compartments, with different functions:

• Cabin - provides a cockpit, propulsion and vehicle power source

• Storage - lockers for stashing sweet loot and equipment

• Fabricator - facilities for fabricating equipment while out on missions

• Aquarium - gently collects and stores small marine organisms

The developers promised to expand the range of compartments in future updates.

An island with black sandy beaches, thermal pools, snow-covered rocks and mysterious caves was also added to the game. At the top of the island is a new base for the transport of goods and a panel to launch a rocket.

The developers added another dark region Deep Twisty Bridges, the depth of which exceeds 200 meters and where a terrible monster called Squidshark lives. It has powerful and long tentacles that can quickly catch a character and cause him significant damage. Another threat will be Seamonkey - a thief, which does not hesitate to steal your belongings. However, following it, you can find a nest where other valuable and apparently previously taken items are stored.
