Are you a modder? Do you like ARK: Survival Evolved? Do you think you have the chops to put your creativity to the test and make a mod that stands out among the masses? Then get ye to your drawing board and prepare to enter into a new contest that could win you thousands of dollars.

Studio Wildcard announced today via a press release that they are opening a competition to ARK modders worldwide. Modders will be able to submit a mod into the competition in one of three categories for judgement: 'Mods', 'Maps', and 'Total Conversions'. Maps is self-explanatory, but the mods category is an extension of the game's core functionality whereas conversions are a change to the core functions altogether. It is suggested that Modders use the ARK Dev Kit, which is a modified version of Unreal Engine 4 and available via the Epic Games Launcher.

Mods must be submitted before the deadline of March 15, 2016, after which the top mods in each category will be selected and voted upon. The winners will be announced on April 16, 2016. Prizes will be awarded to the top five mods in each category, with 1st place winners collecting a $10,000 prize. Still, even 5th place winners will be awarded $1000 for their efforts. You can check out the official contest details, including dates, prizes, and eligibility here.
