Street Fighter VI Might Be Coming Sooner Than We Think

A leak revealed emails regarding work on the next iteration of the popular fighting game series
We all knew that Street Fighter VI was going to be released at some point and there have even been rumors of improved netplay and proposed characters. However, we had no inkling from Capcom about any new game in the works. However, a new leak via @pokeprotos on Twitter reveals emails regarding Street Fighter VI.
The leaked email seemed to border on 3D modeling and a closer look also seems to show that it will be released on the PS5 and Xbox Series X along with all the other regular platforms. We still don't have a date, but it might be sooner than we think.
Ragnar has just released more onto the internet, this time including emails regarding #StreetFighterVI.

Email itself seems to be about progression on 3D modelling, but this is still groundbreaking nonetheless. VI confirmed! pic.twitter.com/hG0dr2F6Br
Street Fighter V was released in 2016 and it received mixed reviews with most critics bashing the game for its lack of content at launch. There were also complaints about the poor netplay, and paucity of characters included in the game. Thankfully, as time went on, Capcom fleshed out the game and while it still has its critics, it is still one of the most widely played fighting games in the world right now.
If current trends are anything to go by, we can expect a better netcode, and cross-play across platforms for the new Street Fighter title.
This is exciting news!
