About a week ago, Capcom released the latest Street Fighter V update, which kicked off Season 5. Since then, Seonwoo "Infiltration" Lee has released his tier list, and now so have three top tier players from Japan.
Masato "Bonchan" Takahashi (Red Bull eSports), Keita "Fuudo" Ai (Cygames Beast), and Naoki "moke" Nakayama were recently on the latest Kachitagari TV live stream to compile their shared tier list for Season 5 (Thanks Pochoclo23).
Their tier list has players ranked from S-tier to C-tier, indicating their overall worth as a pick in the game. Considering the update hasn't been out long, the meta is still forming, meaning this list could change without warning.
Rashid and M. Bison were undoubtedly the MVPs of last season, and they still haven't been dethroned. Taking the top spot, they are followed by the likes of Abigail, Chun-li, and Guile, all up in S-tier with them.
Kage gets bumped up to A-tier to join Akuma, and the now demoted Karin. In B-tier we have Laura, Ken, Sagat and Ryu.

Seonwoo "Infiltration" Lee shared his own tier list last week, and in it, no player fell below A-tier, which is the first major difference between his and the trio's list. Rashid and M. Bison are at the top like usual, but almost the entire roster joins them in S-tier. Those that fall into A-tier are Nash, Dhalsim, and Vega, while F.A.N.G sits dangerously close to dropping.
Infiltration had been away from the competitive Street Fighter V scene for a year now, so his opinion isn't as valuable as that of the trio, but it still sheds an interesting light on things.
Every character except Gill was listed in Infiltration's list because of how new he was at the time. The trio placed the Street Fighter III villain at the bottom of their list, but that could change rather quickly as more players pick him up.
One player that is sure to put the limelight on Gill is the multi-game champion, Dominique "SonicFox" McLean, who has taken to playing Gill in his spare time. The pro player stopped playing Street Fighter V competitively since the first season when he used F.A.N.G. A comeback from him would surely spice up the scene nicely.
