StarCraft pro, caster and streamer, Geoff “iNcontroL”Robinson passed away on Saturday. The sad news was announced today across his social media accounts and took the community by surprise. He died from a sudden illness but the specifics have not yet been shared.
Robinson was a popular esports caster and streamer who started out as a StarCraft pro, being one of the first players to experience StarCraft 2 during its pre-beta period. Since then he became the Evil Genius team captain, began a shoutcasting career and started streaming a variety of games.
The 33 years old had a love for English bulldogs and owned one of his own called Barristan. “To honor Geoff or offer comfort to his family, we suggest donations to @SoCalBulldog, which he loved,” reads the announcement. Southern California Bulldog Rescue is a non-profit dedicated to the rescue of English bulldogs.
Since the announcement, the community has filled his timeline with condolence messages and tributes. Gaming personality and ex-wife Anna Prosser had this to say on Instagram, “Geoff was & always will be a beacon of love, laughter and leadership. He exemplified what it was to be a good man. A world without him is wanting, but profoundly blessed to have had him.”
