Stan Lee cameos in World of Warcraft

Blizzard diceded to honor comic book legend Stan Lee — Marvel's greates superheroes father-founder. World of Warcraft decided to add a special character to the world of Azeroth dedicated to Stan.  WowHead leaked some info about the 8.1.5 patch, which says that at the open testing stage, Stanley, a thin man with gray hair in sunglasses, appeared in Stormwind. He wanders around the city occasionally shouting the word 'Excelsior!'. Firstly, the character was noticed only in one location, dressed as an Alliance's NPC with significant colors and armor. Then enthusiasts began to dig the patch code and found two more Stanley models: one in neutral colors without armor, the other in colors of the Horde. 

This is not the first time Blizzard adds a recently passed away celebrity NPC to World of Warcraft. The developers also made a Robin Williams NPC, who was quite a fan and liked to play WoW. 

Stan Lee left us in November 2018. He was 95, and almost all his life Stan worked as a comic book author, creating some well-known Marvel characters like The Fantastic Four, Hulk, Spider-Man, X-Men, Iron Man and others.
