Today marks the launch of Spyro Reignited Trilogy on PC and the Nintendo Switch. It's a nostalgia packed adventure that comes with some remaster goodness.
Granted, the game has been available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for almost a year now, but to fans on PC and Switch its better late than never. Just like Crash Bandicoot N'Sane Trilogy, it provides a collection of classic platformers with an updated experience and good memories for those that played the originals back in the late '90s to early 2000.
The trilogy includes Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon, the first three games in the series. PC players also get some extra love in the form of 4k resolution support and an uncapped framerate.
Starting the celebration a little early, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled's third grand prix saw Spyro and his friends crash the party on August 30. Spyro & Friends Grand Prix is free to everyone that bought CTR, bringing Spyro, Hunter and Gnasty Gnorc as playable racers while Sparx is a protection mask. It also comes with new vehicles, a new circuit and pit stop items like Dragonfly, Spyromobile, Gnasty Ride, the Viking Polar Skin and element-themed wheels.
