Spirit has taken down forZe to qualify for WESG 2019 Global Finals.
Spirit came out strong against forZe, but it was a pretty close series with a 2-1 scoreline. Nikolay "mir" Bityukov really showed up for Spirit on maps two and three, finishing the series with a +14 differential and a 1.22 HLTV rating.
forZe's woes continue after an early exit from DreamHack Anaheim 2020 at the hands of Endpoint. Bogdan "xsepower" Chernikov continues to show up for the Russian squad, but his stellar performance wasn't quite enough to pull his team across the finish line.
With this result, the current teams in the WESG Global Finals are:
- Heroic
- Endpoint
- Illuminar
- Chaos
- Nemiga
- Ground Zero
- Lynn Vision
- BTRG

The WESG Global Finals was originally scheduled to take place in March but has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak. The outbreak even caused the Latin America and Asia-Pacific qualifiers to be delayed indefinitely. It is unclear when the finals will take place at this time, but hopefully, more information will be released soon.
